Mark brings with him 39 years of experience in the marine mammal field, many of those in support of the Navy Marine Mammal Program.

His career in animal husbandry and the behavioral management of marine mammals began in 1985 at Sea World, which then led him to the Navy’s animal care & training program, with his most recent position as the Animal Training Manager for SAIC. Mark earned a BA degree in Psychology from Chapman University and is a graduate of the Exotic Animal Training and Management Program at Moorpark College. His many years of personnel management and staff oversight have given him the knowledge and experience to direct the NMMFʼs efforts in achieving and maintaining leading-edge Animal Care and Training Staff team performance.
