Tara Armbruster is our Publications Manager, and Health Information Technician.
She manages, organizes, and provides quality control for dolphin and sea lion health and training records, and tracks the Foundation publications. Tara’s attention to detail and previous experience of being a dolphin trainer, help her to understand the data she oversees. Tara helped test, implement, and train individuals for a new digital system for data entry. Tara believes in a strong human-animal relationship that is mutually beneficial. Accurate, consistent, and timely data translates to better care for the animals. Tara has a passion for the environment and conservation to preserve our oceans and all animals for her two small children to enjoy! Tara recently became HAZWOPER (Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response) certified to be an oil spill wildlife responder. Tara and her husband Josh enjoy diving, and taking the kids out for family beach cleanups. In her spare time, Tara enjoys creating art with recycled items (think newspaper, magazines, and bottle caps), and gardening to grow healthy food for her family free from chemicals and pesticides. Tara dreams to create a family farm full of edible or producing plants, chickens, and a plethora of pets, all while supporting the local ecosystem and preserving balance.
