Our MissionThe mission of the Conservation and Biological Research Program is to perform basic research that enhances the overall understanding of the biology of marine mammals with the goal of improving species conservation. Members of the Conservation and Biological Research Program strive to make their research findings available to the scientific and regulatory communities as well as the general public. SpotlightWe are happy to make available the most recent release of the Marine Mammal Movement and Behavior (3MB) software package. The 3MB software permits the exploration of species dive behavior and provides an approach to estimating acoustic impacts to marine mammals when integrated with a suitable sound propagation model.
